Born in Japan, I have travelled quite a bit.  The variety of places, cultures and environments most likely caused an overwhelming influence on my gravitation toward something, seemingly obscure—like Geography.  However, there seems to be a common thread among Geographers of the world—an irresistible urge to recognize that everything is connected, thence the value of a focus that is broad, that may transect many fields and interests.

In a snapshot, my education consists of an Associate of Arts, then a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Washington (UW), an Associate of Data Processing from Pierce College, a Software Engineering Certificate (UW) and an MS in GIS from the University of Redlands with other courses and seminars scattered between; all along, working with GIS since the 1980’s.  GIS is my hobby. I am particularly interested in the nature of life-cycle elements of enterprise systems and quality data.

I swim a couple of miles a day (most days) and have been known to catch a fish or two.
